Bobby Thomas Dickson Anderson, SC Bobby Thomas Dickson, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on September 11, 1940, he was the son of the late Walter T. Dickson and the late Bertha Eaves Dimsdale. He was a 1959 graduate of Boys High. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as an Engine Room mechanic and machinist. Bobby worked for many years at BASF as a mechanic and machinist. He is survived by his wife, Betty David Dickson, of the home; his children, Ken Dickson and his wife Deanna, of Easley, SC, Lyn Dickson Lazar, of Sylva, NC and Sherrill Dickson Ackerman and her husband, Tommy, of Anderson, SC; a brother, Roy Eaves and his wife, Carole Jean, of Mt. Airy, MD; four grandchildren, Brad Dickson, Kyle Dickson, Daniel Dickson and Dakota Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Dean Sears. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Old Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional, or memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
