Bobby Joe Kirby Anderson, SC Bobby Joe Kirby, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at his residence. Born in Greer, SC, on August 17, 1931, he was the son of the late Fred Kirby and the late Bessie Harvey Kirby. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He attended Riverside Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Connice Smith Kirby, of the home; a son, Joel Scott Kirby (Traci), of Anderson; a brother, Carl Kirby (Naomi), of Anderson; a granddaughter, Haylei Rampey, of Pelzer, SC; and a great-granddaughter, McKinley Ann Lambert In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Simpson; and brothers, James Furman Kirby and Vernon Kirby. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Bobby Philyaw officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
