Bobby Leonard Long, Sr., age 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born January 13, 1947, in Columbia, he was the son of the late Fred S. Long, Sr. and Ruby Lee Long. He was married to Gloria Moody Long until her death in 2018. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army and was formerly a district manager for Winn Dixie. He enjoyed fishing and wood working and was a long time volunteer with Good Neighbor Cupboard. He is survived by his son, Dr. Bobby Long (Sarah); grandchildren, Claire and Collen Long; sister, Linda Eyers (Kendal); brother-in-law, Tommy Moody; and sister-in-law, Linda Moody. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Freddy and sister, Nancy. A private service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Chris Fischer officiating. A private committal service will be held at a later date at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 209 E. Broad St., Anderson, SC 29621 and the Good Neighbor Cupboard, 313 S. Towers St., #113, Anderson, SC 29624.
