BOBBY GILBERT MOORER May 14, 1930 - March 13, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Bobby Gilbert Moorer, age 76, husband of Mary Ruth Black Moorer, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Hospice House in Anderson, SC.Born in St. George, SC on May 14, 1930, Mr. Moorer was a son of the late Van Buren Moorer and Roberta Westbury Moorer. He retired from General Electric as a Planner and was a United States Army Korean War veteran having served as Corporal in the Armored Artillery Division. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Wesley Sunday School class.Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Black Moorer of the home; sons, Mark Moorer and his wife, Luanne and Scott Moorer, all of Anderson, SC; sisters and brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Archie Bowden of James Island, Charleston, SC and Mary Ann McGarry of St. Petersburg, FL; sister-in-law, Pat Morrer of James Island, Charleston, SC. Two granddaughters, Anna Rose Moorer and Mary Laine Moorer of Anderson also survive.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Moorer.A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2007 at 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church officiated by the Reverend Frank Lybrand and Dr. Don Cox. The family will receive friends in the Social Hall of the church, immediately following the Memorial Service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1809 N.
