Robert Lee "Bobby" Stancil, 83, of Ware Shoals, SC, passed away, Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Ware Shoals Manor. Born July 31, 1937, in Oconee County, SC, he was the son of the late Homer and Leitha Stancil. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Joe D., Roy, Horace Edward and Charles Benny Stancil and two sisters, Montez Holcombe and Mary Kathryn Holcombe. He is survived by one brother, Cecil James Stancil of Monroe, GA. Bobby was a great story teller and always had a story to tell. He had a way of making people laugh and put a smile on their face. He was a loveable man who loved everyone and if you went to see him, his face would light up like a little kid at Christmas. He met no stranger and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a son, brother, uncle and cousin to many. We love you Bobby! A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Larry Stancil officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register prior to the service between the hours of 9:00 am and noon at The McDougald Funeral Home.
