Bonnie Fay Worley Tucker, 95, passed away peacefully in her sleep at 4:04 a.m. on July 6, 2016, at her son's home in Eufaula, AL. She was born on June 22, 1921 in Lavonia, GA to the late Holman and Vada "Tena" Watkins Worley. She was a graduate of Anderson Girl's High School. She worked as a bookkeeper and accountant for the family business, and was a business woman her entire life. She donated many hours to DAV Organization, The Purple Heart Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of House of Prayer. On September 17, 1941 she married Lawson Thaddeus Tucker. They were married for more than 50 years until his death in 1991. They are now reunited walking the streets of gold in Heaven. We will see them on the other side of Glory. She has two surviving children, Durron (Penny) of Eufaula, AL, and Duane (Lee) of Columbia, TN; a sister, Lynda Child, of Anderson, SC; and nieces that were raised in the home, Faye Howell, of Greenville, SC and Jean Bundrant, of San Angelo, TX ; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; as well as many other nieces and nephews all whom loved her very much and hold very special memories in their hearts to pass on to the next generation. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Tucker; a brother, Miles "Max" Worley; a sister, Louise Richey. Also, preceding her in death were in-laws, Lawson and Sudie Burns Tucker. The family would like to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice for the care and love given to Fay and the support for the family throughout her final days. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
