William Boyce Mullinax, age 92, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at his home.

Born February 5, 1931, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Lewis J. Mullinax and Elizabeth Hughes Mullinax. He was married to the late Betty Ann Singleton Mullinax. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Leland Mullinax.

Boyce was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Clemson College Class of 1953 where he was a member of the Arnold Air Society, the Senior Platoon, Phi Eta Sigma, the track team, the football team, and the javelin and shot-put team. He worked his entire career with Milliken at Gerrish, Judson, and Cushman Mills, retiring after 45 years of service to the company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pendleton where he was a former deacon, usher, and chairman of the finance committee. He was faithful to attend as long as his health permitted. Boyce was an avid Clemson Tiger football fan and enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Mullinax Whitlock (Greg), Lea Mullinax Smith (Don), and Heather Mullinax; brother, Bobby Mullinax; sisters, Helen Wilson and Hazel Mullinax; grandchildren, Tyler Hawkins, Anna Gouge, Chris Smith, and Amelia Elder; and 4 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 5, 2024, from 12:00-1:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Pendleton. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Don Smith, Rev. Jennifer Rygg, and Rev. Dr. Greg Whitlock officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
