The McDougald Funeral Home 2211 North Main Street Anderson, South Carolina 29621 864-224-4343 OBITUARY: WITH PHOTO ANDERSON, SC BRENDA CONWELL February 12, 1950 - February 9, 2013 Brenda Joyce Terry Conwell, age 62, of 304 Valley Road, passed away peacefully at her residence with family by her side. Born in Wheeler, AL, she was the daughter of the late Auburn F. Terry and the late Susie Kelley Terry. For 23 years, she was the loving and devoted wife of Mike Conwell. Early in her career, Mrs. Conwell made a name for herself when she served as Vice-President of Manufacturing at Win-Tec Corporation. She had the distinction of being the world's foremost female authority on rigid foam insulation. With all her accomplishments and interest, however, in later years the role she enjoyed more than any was that of wife, mama, and grandma. Brenda and her family attended the House of Prayer. Survivors include her husband, Mike Conwell of the residence; 3 sons, Rodney P. Jaworski (Cheryl) of Climax, MI, Brandon Conwell (Paige) of Anderson, and Dusty J. Conwell of Anderson; 1 daughter, Rhonda Renee Lipscomb (Nate) of Climax, MI; 5 brothers, Wendell, Fred, Allen, Roger, and Dennis Terry; and 3 sisters, Elaine Mann, Gail Harris, Pearlie Reed. Her grandchildren were the love of her life and include Rick, Rob, Natalie, Caleb, Hayden, Courtney, Mark, Ashley and Nikki. Also surviving are 4 great-grandchildren and two very special friends, Lib Reynolds and Ruth Browning, and many loving nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate and honor the life of Mrs. Brenda Conwell will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 2 PM, at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Nation officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, from 7 PM until 9 PM.
