Brenda Diane Scarborough Ervin, age 71, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born September 3, 1951, in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Earl Howard Scarborough, Jr. and Helen Elizabeth Franklin Scarborough. Affectionately known by everyone as Nana or BB, she enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of children. She loved the summers and being in the sun and was known for her fun personality and ability to make others laugh. She was a member of NewSpring Church. She is survived by her husband, James William Ervin; daughters, Ashley Reese (Josh) and Brooke Arnold (Rusty) both of Anderson; brother, David Scarborough (Janet) of Piedmont; sister, Debra Hunnicutt (David) of Anderson; grandchildren, Sydney, Mason, and Madison Arnold, and Zander Reese; and nephews, Robby Hunnicutt, and Wesley and Riley Scarborough. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Scarborough. The family will greet guests on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of at The McDougald Funeral Home followed by the memorial service at 11:30 am with Chris Dunagan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Home for Children, 110 Calvary Home Circle, Anderson, SC 29621. The family will be at their respective homes.
