Brenda Blue Goodwin, 63, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born December 9, 1957 in Bennettsville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Edmond Blue and Grace Hayes Blue. Brenda retired from Keymark after serving as the corporate controller and was a member of High Praises Church. Brenda is survived by her spouse, James A. Goodwin, Jr.; mother, Grace Hayes Blue; children James A. Goodwin, III (Ashley), Jeffrey Alan Goodwin (Channell), and Jennifer Goodwin Compton (Justin); grandchildren, Ethan Alan Goodwin, James "J.J." Alexander Goodwin, IV, Madison Compton, Emily Goodwin, Lucas Goodwin, and Jenna Compton; brother, Woody Blue; and sister Diane Brigman. In addition to her father, Brenda was predeceased by brothers, Ricky Blue and Gary Blue. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Scott Taylor officiating.
