BRENDA WILEY OLWIN October 31, 1953 - November 17, 2007STARR, SCMrs. Brenda Wiley Olwin, age 54 of 6813 Highway 81 South, formerly of Pickens, SC and wife of the late Donald Dale Olwin, Sr., died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at her residence. Born in Eixfield, Maine on October 31, 1953, Mrs. Olwin was a daughter of the late Charles Isaac Wiley, Jr., and Glendora Octavia Chambers Wiley. She was a bus driver with the Pickens County Board of Education for eight years and was a member of Catechee Baptist Church. She lived many years in Fairbanks, Alaska before moving to the Upstate of South Carolina.Survivors include her sons, Felix Olwin of Florida, Donald 'DJ' Olwin and Blaine Olwin, both of Starr; daughter, Christina 'Tina' Olwin of Fairbanks, Alaska and Jeannette Olwin of Easley, SC. Three grandchildren and several sisters also survive.She was preceded in death by one sister.A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in Central, SC with the Reverends Charles and Kay Hendricks officiating. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her son, Donald Olwin, 6813 Highway 81 South, Starr, SC.
