Brenda Lou Thomas Pierce, age 59, of Pelzer, SC, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home.

Born August 4, 1964, in Tazewell, TN, she was a daughter of the late James Edward Thomas and Edna L. Braden Thomas.

Brenda was the most welcoming and friendly person to everyone she met. She enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and genealogy, doing a lot of her research on Find A Grave. Being one of seven sisters, she loved growing up with all girls and she had three daughters of her own. Her family meant the world to her, holding a special place in her heart for her grandchildren; and she especially loved that she finally got some boys with her grandsons.

She is survived by her daughters, Mandy Greer, Tasha Fassett (Tyler), and Kimberly Milam (Tyler); sisters, Kathy Rogers, Doris Anderson, and Vicky Davis; grandchildren, Tyler, Hanna, Michiyaha, Trey, Emily, Brooke, Eli, Baylee, Harley, and Blair; special niece, Rainbow Brown; Mary Beth Manning and sons C.J. and J.J.; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Lynn Pierce; granddaughter, Tori Hadden; and sisters, Debbie Hurst, Rhonda Thomas, and Rita Combs.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 1:00 pm at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.
