BRENDA SKELTON STRICKLAND Anderson, SC Brenda Skelton Strickland, 65, wife of Larry Hoyt Strickland of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC on October 6, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Roy Francis Skelton and Aldie Lowie Skelton. Mrs. Strickland was a graduate of McDuffie High School and was the co-owner of A & B Salon. She was a member of Homeland Park Church of God. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Timothy L. Strickland(Tonja) of Anderson; brothers, Francis Edrew Skelton of Williamston, Franklin D. Skelton (Joanne) and Jerry Glenn Skelton(Norma), all of Anderson; sister, Etrulia Watt of Iva, Mary Lyon of Piedmont and Kathryn Feltman (Bill) of Anderson and sister-in-law, Gayle Skelton of Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, A. T. Skelton and Fred Ariel Skelton. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
