Brenda Whitman Thrasher, age 71, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at her home. Born in LaFrance, SC on February 1, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Clem Jackson Whitman and the late Gladys Holmes Whitman. She was a homemaker, but had worked for many years at Patti Manufacturing in Pendleton, SC. Brenda was a member of Central Church of God. She is survived by two sons, Harold "Bo" Thrasher, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Pendleton, SC, and James Thrasher and his wife Cristy, of LaFrance, SC; a sister, Denise Whitman, of Pendleton, SC; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Welborn Thrasher; and three brothers, Donnie, Allen, and Ed Whitman. The Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens in Clemson with Reverend Roger Nix and Reverend Rodger Allison officiating.
