Brenda McKee Williams, 72 of Starr, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at her home. Born September 21, 1946 in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Warren Austin and Hazel Brown McKee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald James Williams; son, Rickie Williams; daughter, Tammy Williams; brothers, Michael "Pee-Wee" McKee and Roger Dale "Popeye" McKee and sister, Joan McKee. Brenda was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Williams of Anderson; daughter, Christa Knight of Anderson; brother, Bennie "Buster" McKee of Ninety Six; sisters, Ann Sullivan and Vickie McKee both of Anderson; six grandchildren, Holly Williams, Drew Williams, Candace Starks, Kaci Hall, Dylan Knight and Jamie Williams and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be in the chapel at 1:00pm Thursday with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating.
