Brian Ashley Hammond, Sr., age 52, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 25th, 2017. Born in Anderson, SC on October 20, 1964, he was the son of Rudy W. Hammond and Alma Smith Hammond. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines after graduating from T.L. Hanna High School. He was a sales representative in the roofing industry. In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his wife, Pamela G. Hammond; his children, Brian "Chip" Hammond, Jr., of Bradley, SC and step daughter Amanda Brooks, of Harlem, GA; four brothers, Jonathan Hammond, of Anderson, SC, Daniel Todd Hammond, of Anderson, SC, Joel Edwin "Jody" Hammond, of Anderson, SC and Douglas Earl Hammond, of Michigan; and seven nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service.
