Mrs. Margaret "Bridgette" Hood Thompson of 406 Griffin Road, Belton, SC Passed away at her residence peacefully Wednesday morning October, 14, 2015. She was attending Belmont Church of God of Prophecy and was the daughter of the late Burton Dewitt Hood and Cybil Knight Link. Bridgette was born on December 17th, 1941. She was 73. She graduated from Abbeville High School, Class of 1959 and was a secretary for Beltone Hearing Aid. Bridgette is survived by two sons: Burt Parnell and wife Missi of Belton and Bobby Parnell and his wife Jodi of Anderson; six grandchildren: Clay, Savana, Sheyanne, Siara, Matthew, and Jacob Parnell. In addition to her parents Bridgette was preceded in death by a son: Brent Parnell and her step-mother: Mildred Hood. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th, 2015 at 2:00pm at Long Cane Cemetery in Abbeville with the Rev. Alan Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, October 15th, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm. At other times the family will be at their residence.
