.Bruce Floyd Woodlief Anderson, SC Bruce Floyd Woodlief, 86 of Anderson, SC formerly of Buford, GA went home to be with the Lord on June 15, 2014. Bruce was born on April 22, 1928 in Franklin County, NC, a son of the late Roy H. and Lillie Belle Wrenn Woodlief. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Bettye Viola Flanagan Woodlief; three daughters, Linda Leigh Bennett, of Suwanee, GA, Gail Brundage and her husband Rick, of Dahlonega, GA and Peggy Wood and her husband Mike, of Anderson, SC; two brothers, Gene Woodlief and his wife Barbara, of Charlotte, NC and Watson Wooflief, of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Mable Cash, of Asheville, NC; a sister-in-law, Margaret Woodlief, of Roswell, GA; six grandchildren, Marcie Parker and her husband Frank. Stacie Bennett, Shannon Hitchcock, Lorie Bennett, Brittany Boleman and her husband Britt and Scott Wood and his wife Carmen; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers. An Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, he served as a flight line mechanic. After his honorable discharge he went to work for Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia followed by a career in sales with Allison Machinery. He was a member of Buford Prebysterian Church. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. with Reverend Rick Hendricks and Reverend Dr. Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
