Floyd Andrew "Butch" Scott, Jr., age 77, of Starr, SC, dedicated husband to the late Jeannette Moore Scott, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, at his residence.
Born November 4, 1944, in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Floyd Andrew Scott and Mary Ruth Strickland Scott.
He served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. Throughout his career he was a former car salesman and mechanic, retiring as a machinist. Butch proudly owned KBS Farms, the second largest hog farm in Starr, SC. He was an avid fisherman and guns enthusiast, member of the NRA, and a jack-of-all-trades.
He is survived by his children, Keith Andrew Scott (April), and Andrea Branyon (Jack); siblings, Thelma Hames, Mike Scott, and Jannie McGee; grandchildren, Parker Scott, Katy Scott (Zachary), Courtney Scott (Tyler), Nicole McGill, and Jianna Branyon; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Peyton, and Emma; and beloved dog, Rascal.
In addition to his loving wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marion Scott.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow visitation in the Chapel at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Albert Strickland officiating.
The family will be at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
