C. Walter Lindquist Starr, SC Carl Walter Lindquist, age 84, of Starr, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 4, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 15, 1929, he was the son of the late Carl Andrew Lindquist and the late Esther E. Lindquist. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was an electrician for over 40 years. Walter was a member of Ruhamah United Methodist and a life member of North Bellmore NY Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary "Marion" Lindquist; his children, Debra Ann Byrne and her husband Sean, Gary James Lindquist, Charles Wayne Lindquist and Susan Diane Lindquist; and five grandchildren, Jason and Justin Byrne, Jacob and James Lindquist and Morgan Ritchie, all from Upstate, NY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hauptman and a sister, Dorothy Gozdziewska. The Funeral Service will be held at Ruhamah United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Joe Durham and Reverend Brenda Durham officiating. Interment will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
