Calvin C. Poore, age 93, of Anderson, SC passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born January 14, 1925 in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Dewey Lee and Corrine Shirley Poore. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Adell Poore and two sisters, Evelyn Watt and Doris Kinley. Calvin was retired from Michelin Tire and was a member of Midway Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his sons, Calvin William Poore (Claudia) and Glenn Poore; daughters, Cindy Jefferson (Mack) and Nancy MacManus (Tom); brother, Schaeffer Poore; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The cryptside service with military honors will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Steve Silvey and Rev. Ronnie James officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Entombment will follow the service. The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richard M.
