Calvin C. Strunk, 84, of Pendleton, SC, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at his home. Born February 11, 1936 in Whitley City, KY, he was the son of the late Abraham Lincoln Strunk and Ora Vanover Strunk. Calvin was employed with Corning-Asahi for 35 years. He was an avid golfer, racquetball player and mischief maker to all those who knew him. His greatest passion was his family. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances Stith Strunk; children, Gary Strunk (Deborah) of Bloomington, IL, Peggy Cardenas (Angel) of Pickerington, OH, and Carol Lee (James) of King George, VA; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Ann Fetner and Betty Seiple. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Philip Blankenship officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 5901 Hwy 187, Anderson, SC 29625.
