Park Drive, Anderson, SC and husband of the late Odell Dyar Adams. Born in Anderson, SC on April 22, 1913, Mr. Adams was the son of the late James Henry Adams and Mittie Locke Adams. He was a United States Army World War II veteran and retired from the textile industry. He was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include a grandson, Jerry Gray Jr., of California; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillie Shirley, Ruth Elliott, Sylvene Dillingham and Elzora Adams, all of Anderson, SC.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Gray; five brothers, Clyde, Clifford, Jim, Claude and George Adams. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Sam Chasteen.
