Carl O. Crawford Anderson, SC Carl Odell Crawford, age 88, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Belton, SC on February 16, 1926, he was the son of the late Uylese S. Crawford and the late Mary Victoria Mashburn Crawford. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy serving on the USS Drexlar during WWII in the Pacific. He was a member of the American Legion Post #14 and Tin Can Sailors Association. Carl was a dedicated member of West Anderson Church of God. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Crawford, a son, Mike Crawford, and a grandson, Michael Crawford, all of Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Crawford; sisters, Virginia McLain and Martha Ann Bridges; and brothers, Lee R., Thomas, Clarence, James, Charles "Eddie Boy" and William Frankie Crawford. The Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Reverend Mark Daniel officiating.
