Carl Ray McCurley, age 83, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021, at his home. Born April 28, 1938 in Anderson, he was the son of the late B.C. McCurley and Sara Tucker McCurley. Carl was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from Anderson Machine Shop. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed camping. He was a member and former vice president of REACT and a member of Broadway Lake Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Grace Irene Hall McCurley; daughters, Lynne Titus (Bryan), Jan Dyar (Greg), and Laura Johnson (Tommy); granddaughters, Regina Moberly (Jason) and Lillie Dyar; and great granddaughters, Ella and Jaycee Moberly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clayton McCurley; and sisters, Patsy Swanson and Sandra Knight. The funeral service with military honors will be held Monday, December 27, 2021, at 12:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Dwight Greene and Rev. Early Tucker officiating.
