Carl Sidney Rudisill, age 89, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Richard M. Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home. Born in Lincolnton, NC on March 21, 1929, he was the son of the late L.E. Rudisill, Sr. and the late Maude Mauney Rudisill. He was a graduate of NC State earning his PhD and he proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Carl retired from Clemson University having taught from 1965 until 1988. He was an avid camper and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by his children, Tom Rudisill, of Newry, SC and Cathy Rudisill, of Anderson, SC; and a brother, Ben Rudisill. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Shealy Rudisill; one brother and one sister. The Memorial Service to Honor and Celebrate Mr. Rudisill's life will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. J. Chris Fischer officiating.
