Carl Edward Vermillion, Jr., 79, of Belton, SC passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at AnMed Medical Center.

Born March 23, 1944, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Carl Edward Vermillion, Sr. and Marie Evans Vermillion.

Carl was an automotive mechanic and owned his own business. He loved his work, fishing, yardwork, golfing, karaoke and being outdoors. He also loved his dogs, Copper and Bo, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Vermillion; sons, Mark Vermillion, Matthew Vermillion (Tracy) and Charlie Vermillion all of Anderson, SC; daughters, Wendy Kelly (Russell) and Brittany Vermillion also of Anderson, SC; sister, Kay Daley (John) of Spartanburg County, SC; grandchildren, Cade Vermillion, Kenzie Vermillion, Brandon Kelly (Brandi) and Dylon Kelly (Alicia); and great grandchildren, Steel Kelly and Storm Kelly.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Collier Vermillion.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 16, 2023 in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Fousek officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-12:45 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will be at their respective homes.
