BROGDENJANUARY 3, 1930 - DeceMBER 28, 2008ANDERSON, SC ' Carlis Henderson Brogden, age 78, husband of the late Mildred Virginia Davis Brogden, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Mt. Olive, NC on January 3, 1930, he was a son of the late Paul Jones Brogden and Nettie Vernon Brogden. Mr. Brogden retired from the United States Army; having served from 1947 ' 1969 in the United States Army and 1969-1977 in Saudi Arabia ' as a Logistics Area Manager for the Corp of Engineers. Survivors include his children: sons: Benjie Yon Brogden and wife Darlene Brogden of Anderson, and Erik Hans Brogden of Buckhead, GA; daughters: Carlisti Wicker and husband Jimmy Wicker of Anderson, and Tammy Nichole Littleton of Anderson; brother, David Oliver Brogden of Mt. Olive, NC; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Brogden was predeceased by a brother, Gene Brogden.The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at Gethsemane Baptist Temple conducted by the Reverend Sam Duncan.
