Carlton "Bo" Bostic, age 84, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at St. Francis Downtown. Born August 29, 1938, in Anderson, he was a son of the late Ernest L. Bostic and Ruby Nell Speed Bostic. Bo was a veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from Foundry and Steel. He enjoyed his retirement years spending time with his family. He was a master electrician and craftsman who enjoyed woodworking. Bo was also a former part-time security officer at Electrolux and attended Broadway Lake Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Smith Bostic; children, David Bostic, Susan Bryant, James Bostic (Susan), and Sean Bostic (Kelly); brothers, Jerry and Raymond Bostic; sisters, Patsy Hanks and Joann Smith; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; stepsons, Barry and Brian Watt; 13 step grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Mulcahy Bostic; sons, Carlton James Bostic and Mark Bryan Bostic; brothers, Billy Bostic, Albert L. Bostic, and Ernest L. Bostic; sister, Betty J. Roberts; and stepson, Mark Anthony Watt. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 12:00 until 1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PAWS, 1320 US-29, Anderson, SC 29626.
