Carmen Maria Hernandez Freeman, age 78, of Tustin, CA, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Born September 5, 1946, in Santiago, Chile, she was a daughter of the late Antenor Venegas Henriquez and Julia Elba Nunuez Hernandez.

Carmen, affectionately known as "Mama C", owned a gift shop for over 30 years. She was a loving woman who was devoted to her children above all. She had a kind, generous heart and enjoyed taking care of others. Everyone who met her loved her and she loved them back. She will be missed by so many who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her children, Michael Freeman, Robert Freeman, and Valorie Freeman; brother, George Corbalan; sister, Rebecca Corbalan; and 1 grandchild.

The family will host a Celebration of Life on July 24, 2025, from 12:00-4:00 pm in the Emerald Room of the Santa Ana Elks Lodge #794, 1751 S Elk Ln, Santa Ana, CA 92705.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
