Carol McCoy Todd, 87, of Sandy Springs, SC passed away at her home on Monday, December 14, 2020. Born September 25, 1933 in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Clarence McCoy and Nellie Swaney McCoy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lamar Todd; brother, Mack McCoy; sister, Virginia Prater and her twin sister, Pearl Avant. Carol retired after 26 years of service from JP Stevens. Following her retirement, she worked at Tri County Technical College and Clemson University. She was dedicated to her church, LaFrance Church of God. She had a servant's heart and loved people, which was evident in being in charge of the Benevolence Committee for over 60 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Janis Shook (Charles), Cynthia Brock (Mike), Sherry Allison (Roger), and Vicki Landreth; 11 grandchildren, Todd Garrison, Jeremy and Adam Scruggs, Shawn, Nicholas and Josh Allison, Rebekah Gardner, Jessica and Michael Landreth, David Shook and Denise Stewart; and 11 great-grandchildren, Drew and Camilla Garrison, Kolby and Alexis Scruggs, Ariel, Logan and Noah Allison, Brian and Jacob Scott, Hazel Grace Landreth and Junivee Allison. Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the guest register from 3-5 pm Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at McDougald Funeral & Cremation Services Pendleton Center. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday at LaFrance Church of God with Rev. Roger Allison and Rev. James Shealy officiating. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens, Clemson.
