Caroline H. Carlton, age 84, of Columbia, SC, widow of the late Daniel D. Carlton, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Pruitt Health Nursing Home. Born July 8, 1938, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Claude C. Huntsinger and the late Lois Tinsley Huntsinger. During her working career, Caroline worked as a clerk for Propp Drugs in Anderson, SC. She was a faithful member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, being involved in many church activities. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time while making lasting memories with her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Brad Carlton and his wife Kay, of Elgin, SC; two grandchildren, Jedidiah and Natasha Carlton, both of Elgin, SC; sister, Edna H. McKee, of Saluda, NC; and several beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Huntsinger and Frank Huntsinger; and a sister, Mary H. Nixon. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Noon in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Rev. Kurt Stutler officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to John Wesley United Methodist Church, 523 Stone Dr., Anderson, SC 29625.
