ANDERSON, SC Caroline Garrett December 15, 2009 - April 15, 2012 Little Julia Caroline Garrett, age 2, of 406 Concord Avenue, Anderson, went home to heaven on Sunday, April 15, 2012, as she rested in the arms of her mother at Greenville Memorial. Caroline was born in Harrisonburg, VA, the daughter of Holly Elizabeth Garrett of the residence, and Christopher D. Hughes, of Harrisonburg, VA. She attended Concord Baptist Church with her family. Though her years were few, Caroline loved life and the beautiful world around her, and touched everyone she knew, especially her playmates, with her sweet and gentle spirit. In addition to her Mama and Daddy, she is survived by an aunt, Meredith Garrett of Anderson; maternal grandparents, Rhonda and Thornton Garrett of Anderson; paternal grandparents, Dan Hughes of Orlando, FL, and Linda Kranz of Richmond, VA; maternal great-grandmother, Helen Robbins of Charleston, SC; paternal great-grandmother, Joyce Cleeland of Mantoloking, NJ; maternal great-great grandmother, Mary Thornton of Anderson. Those who preceded Caroline in death were great- grandfathers, Malcolm Randolph Robbins and Edward Garrett, and great-grandmother, Opal Riddle. A service celebrating the life of Caroline Garrett will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 2 PM at the Concord Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Don Cox and Rev. Randy Blank officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home Tuesday, April 17, 2012, from 5 PM until 7 PM.
