Carolyn Vosburg Brown, 93, entered into eternity on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 12:15 pm at Greenville Memorial Hospital, surrounded by children, grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Penn and Caroline Faux Vosburg and her husband, John Edward Brown; sister, Mina and three brothers, Earle, Wesley, and Reginald. Surviving are her sons, Alan Craig Brown and William Kenneth Brown (Kathryn) all of Anderson; daughter, Mary Brown Mason (Jeff) of Pickens, SC and step-son, Ronald E. Brown (Linda) of Sparta, NC; granddaughters, Gretchen Brown Dixon of Savannah, GA, Jessica Lynn Brown of Anderson, SC, Alexandria Brown Reed (Samuel) of Greer, SC and Adrienne Rheannah Mason of Greenville, SC. Joys also include great-grandchildren, Emelia Laine Dixon of Savannah, GA, Breanna Leigh and Makayla Erin Harrison of Anderson, SC and Aiden William Brown of Greer, SC and Raelynn Lily and Jaxon Stark Brandt of Greenville, SC. Born in Carverton, PA, she worked as a secretary before marrying on October 3, 1963. She and her husband enjoyed a life of travel in the service, before retiring in Anderson, SC. She worshipped with Pope Drive Baptist Church (1972-2005) and Forestville Baptist Church (2006-2012) in Travelers Rest. She enjoyed daily times with her friends at Senior Action Center in Slater, SC and Active Day Care in Liberty, SC. A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 15, 2017 in the chapel of the The McDougald Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
