She retired from Kroger Bakery (formerly American Bakery) where she worked in administration and accounting for over 40 years.Survivors include her sister; Sandra Locke Vickery and her husband, Bill; a sister-in-law, Frances Simpson all of Anderson; a brother-in-law, Jerome Poole of Charlotte, NC; nephews, Joshua Vickery of Fountain Inn, Randy, Reed and Ross Poole of Charlotte, NC, Dury Simpson and Wayne Selman of Anderson; nieces, Michelle Wilson and Janice Ross of Anderson, Mellie McClellan of Charlotte, NC and Gail Yarborough of Charleston, SC. She also had several grandnephews and grandnieces.She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marshall Chastain; her parents O. C. and Carrie Lee Locke and a sister, Linda Locke Poole.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:30 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Tom Owen. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Esther Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Escort.
