Carolyn Frierson Dobbins, age 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Born November 25, 1939, in Greenville, SC, at St. Franics Hospital, she was the daughter of the late John Neisler Frierson and Lil Jackins Frierson.

She was well known as "Nana D", "DD", "Butterfly", "Sunshine", "My Buddy", "Ms. Carolyn", and "Ms. Dobbins". She was an avid golf and tennis player at numerous places before and after retirement from AnMed Health. She attended Greenville High School, Brenau Academy along with Queens College. She loved to spend time with her family, friends, playing cards, shagging with her friends, and taking care of her mother's roses. She attended Grace Episcopal Church in earlier years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn "Lyn" Dobbins Boyd, Sarah "Lisa" Elizbeth Bailey, and Mary Walker Dobbins Clardy; grandchildren, Jessica Vickery (Adam), Justin Spearman, Sarah Campbell, Joseph Clardy, Madelyne Franklin (Chase), Wyatt Boyd, and Elliot Boyd; and great grandchildren, McKenzie Vickery, Abbie Vickery, Grace Vickery, and Sadie Franklin.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. A private family committal will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, SC.

The family will be at their respective homes.
