Carolyn Owen Duncan Henderson, of the Piercetown Community, passed from her earthly home into her Heavenly home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. She was the daughter of the late James Harold Owen and the late Eunice Smith Owen. Her husband, Vernon Henderson and her brother, Maynard Owen are also deceased. She is survived by her son, Todd Lee Duncan, of the home and her sister, Jeanette O. Rogers (Jon) of Piedmont, SC, and three nieces, Elaine R. Walsh (Bill) of Atlanta, GA, Joni R. Foy (Keith) of Arlington, VA, and Melissa R. King (David) of Fountain Inn, SC. Carolyn retired from Flexible Technologies of Abbeville, SC, after 35 years. She still had many friends from the Abbeville and Greenwood areas. After retiring, she moved back to the family home in Piercetown to care for her aging mother. She was a member of Anchor Point Baptist Church of Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 2:00-3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Gordy Craft officiating.
