Carolyn Jane Thatcher Myers, age 68, of 205 Edwards Drive, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born on June 12, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Dewitt Thatcher and the late Maybrean Meadows Thatcher. Mrs. Myers was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed arts and crafts as well as her yard work. She graduated from cosmetology school after attending high school. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Jim Myers of the home; a daughter, Denise Trinidad of Anderson; three sons, Roy Trinidad (Laura) of Georgia; D. J. Myers of Anderson, and Matt Myers (Angela) of Anderson; a brother, Dwayne Thatcher (Marie) of Iva; four sisters, Sue Hardin (Carl) of Sikeston, MO, Glinda McDowell of Corning, AR, Maggie Swims (Mike) of Wardell, MO, and Clara Mann of Clifty, KY; also surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Thatcher and Clyde Thatcher, and a sister, Patricia Best. The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Pastor Luke Gibson, Sr. officiating. Cremation will follow.
