She was a long-time member of Fants Grove Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Ward Matthew Swaney of the home; two sons, Randy Swaney and his wife Teresa and Kenneth Swaney, all of Pendleton; two brothers, Steve Price of Pendleton and Wayne Price of Lincolnton, NC; and one grandson, Kenny Swaney.In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Kay Swaney, and a brother, Gene Price.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Fants Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
