Wilson, age 67, wife of Larry D. Wilson of 304 Mar Mac Road, Anderson, died Thursday, January 1, 2009 in Sevier County, TN.Born in Anderson, SC on September 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dossie E. Williams and Velma Barnum Williams. She was a graduate of T. L. Hanna High School and attended Furman University. Carolyn retired from The McDougald Funeral Home with 22 years of service. She was a past president of The Anderson Business and Professional Women's Club, and served as a Campfire Girl Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Carolyn enjoyed painting sunrises and sunsets, and taking great adventures with her family. Surviving are her husband, Larry D. Wilson of the home; three sons, Stephen L. Wilson and his wife, Marlena of South Bend, IN, Ken A. Wilson and his wife, Donna and Roger D. Wilson, all of Anderson; her daughter, Catherine Wilson Sanders and her husband, Steve of Marietta, GA; brother, Doug Ivester and his wife Lisa of Anderson; five grandchildren, Garrison G. Foster, Brent H. Foster and Cullen A. Foster of Marietta, GA, Matthew K. Wilson and Alexander P. Wilson, both of Anderson; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Ann Kyzer of Anderson.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Reverends Dwayne and Elva Martin. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 4, 2009 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
