Cassie Earlene Trotter Evans, age 86, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, at her home.

Born September 6, 1940, in Slater, SC, she was the daughter of the late Earl Thomas Trotter and Cassie Josephine Anderson Trotter. She was married for 48 years to Billy Joe Evans until his death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

Earlene was a wonderful mother and grandmother who had a heart of gold. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to sit on the back porch and watch the birds and deer. In her earlier years, she and her husband loved to go camping. She was a member of and loved her church family at Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Everyone who knew Earlene will remember her as kind, loving, and a true friend to all.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Lee Evans (Dianne) and Billy Wayne Evans (Vicki); daughter, Amy Michelle Evans (Becca); grandchildren, Brittany Black, Jace Evans, and Jordi Evans; and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 am with Rev. Billy Ray Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
