CATHY C. LONG December 3, 1958 - June 1, 2012 Cathy Charlene Ayers Long, age 53, of 2701 Ranchwood Drive, Anderson, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of Doris R. Williams Ayers and the late Charles Ayers. Cathy was a graduate of Pendleton High School and worked as a nurse's aide at NHC Healthcare of Anderson. She devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, daughter and mother. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved husband, Timothy H. Long of the residence; a daughter, Stephanie Epps and her husband Mac; step-sons, Shawne Allen and Timmy Long; and brothers, Michael Terry Ayers and his wife Nancy and Charles Terry Ayers and his finance' Diane Santangelo. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at 2 PM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Charles Holland officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence, and will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, June 6, from 6 PM until 8 PM.
