CECIL T. BROWN August 31, 1949 - September 28, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Cecil Taylor Brown, age 64, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at his home. Born in Chattanooga, TN, he was the son of the late R.C. "Bob" Brown and the late Norma Taylor Brown. He graduated from Anderson College and served in the United States Army Reserves. He worked for many years with his father in the family-owned shoe company and later worked as a bookkeeper for several car dealerships. He is survived by his son, Brandon (Nicole) Brown, of Chicago, IL; two daughters, Megan B. McClure and Kristin Brown, of Anderson, SC; four grandsons, Lex Annese, Maddox McClure, Mason McClure and Ryan McClure and; a sister, Debbie Brown Ott (Rembert), of Orangeburg, SC; and two brothers, Rick (Angel) Brown, of Charlotte, NC and Chris Brown, of Anderson, SC; four nieces, Remmi Ott, of New York, NY, Kelly Brown, of Charlotte, NC, Regan Brown and Kailyn Brown, of Simpsonsville, SC; a nephew, Clay Brown, of Charlotte, NC; former wife, Kathy Brown; two step-children, Brandy Barnette and Timmy Geiger; and five step-grandchildren, Taylor, Jamie and Jordan McClellan, Brandon Baker and Alex Geiger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shelby Swaney Brown. The Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 12:30 PM with Reverend Bill Rigsby officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
