Cecil Delbert Edmonds, 85, of Anderson , SC, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Rainey Hospice House. He was born on August 13, 1934 in Anderson to the late Ralph Clyde Edmonds and Johnnie Beatrice Smith Edmonds. He was married to the late Clara Melissa Edmonds who passed in 2015. Cecil was a graduate of Boys High and formerly worked as a manager in finance. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Randy Edmonds (Laura) of Anderson, SC and Ron Edmonds (Barbara) of Seneca, SC; grandchildren, Blake Edmonds (Shana), Alyssa Edmonds, Whitney Patterson (Jason); Noah Edmonds (Taylor) and Samuel Edmonds; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Jenna Edmonds and sister, Joyce Nickerson. A cryptside service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2020 at 12:30 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Guy Roberts and Rev. Michael Jones officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
