Garrett and Florence Teems Garrett. He served in the United States Army and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas. He was a member of Orrville United Methodist Church where he was also a member of Choir and the Sonshine Club.Survivors include his daughters, Donna Vaughn of Spartanburg and Sandra Harrison and her husband, Rick of Anderson; five grandchildren, Jared Vaughn, Eric Harrison, Chuck Harrison, Justin Harrison and his wife, Kelli, and Holly Harrison; six great-grandchildren, Cole, Lexie, Carrigon, Eric, Mikey and Noah Harrison; and special friend Fumiko Medlin.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Eddie Vaughn; three brothers, Lonnie, John and Willie Garrett and four sisters, Essie Newton, Emma Smith, Eva Prince and Lillie Snow.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Ellen Younker. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.Flowers are optional.
