He was a machinist at Owens Corning Manufacturing Solutions. He was a Golden Glove Boxer and was a baseball coach for the Anderson Recreation Department for several years. He was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God.In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sandra Ervin Smith; a son, Adam Smith of the home; a brother, Todd L. Smith of Anderson, SC; grandparents, Jennie Smith of Anderson, SC and Ann Mott, and her husband, Don of Westminster, SC.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Lloyd Robison and Ed Nelson and Mr. Bruce Cannon. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Sandy Springs, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at their respective homes.Flowers are optional.
