Charles Raymond Britton, age 57, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born August 13, 1967, in Tampa, FL, he was the son of the late Ambrose Kelsey Britton and Wilma Kirkland Britton.

Charles was a graduate of King High School in Tampa, FL, and a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a Special Forces Medic in the Airborne Unit serving during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He was an automotive technician for over 27 years. He had many hobbies and interests which included music, building computers, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed traveling to the mountains, working on cars, and all things Alien or Star Wars. Those who knew Charles will remember him as a very smart and caring man who would help anyone in need.

He is survived by his son, Jacob Britton of Anderson; fiancé, Amy Heintz of Anderson; brother David Britton of Carrollton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
