CHARLES W. BURDETTE June 15, 1938 - November 7, 2012 PENDLETON, SC Charles Wilburn Burdette, age 74, of 2137 Five Forks Road, Pendleton, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at his residence. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Floyd Thomas Burdette and the late Lillie Mae Turpin Burdette. He worked for many years at Orr Lyons Mill. Charles was a member of Mercy Christian Outreach. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Speares Burdette of the home; two sons, Ricky Burdette of Williamston and Mark Burdette of Anderson; a brother, Ray Burdette of Anderson; a sister, Ruby Nell Burdette Porter of Anderson; and three grandchildren, Sherrie Burdette of Charleston, SC, Cole Burdette of Anderson and Haleigh Burdette of Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Olin Burdette. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Pastor George Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
