CANUPPJULY 17, 1932 - OctoBER 3, 2007 ANDERSON, SC Dr. Charles Jerry Canupp, age 75, of 515 Allenby Road passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC. Born in Union, South Carolina on July 17, 1932, he was a son of the late Clark Canupp and Iva Modena Hardin Canupp. Dr. Canupp was a member of the Class of 1954 at Furman University and graduated Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Canupp was a retired chiropractor who in later years was President of Allenwood Plastics and was a sales manager for American Sentry. He was a former Mason and was formerly active with the Jaycee's having served as Past President, Lions Club of Anderson, and the Rotary Club of Anderson. Dr. Canupp was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson where he had formerly served as a choir member, deacon, and Sunday School Teacher for fifty years. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Norris Canupp, formerly of Eutawville, SC; children: Donna Canupp Ford and husband, Tom of Charlotte, NC, Laura Canupp Plourde and husband, Galen of Greenville, SC, and Charles Jerry Canupp, Jr. and wife, Andrea of Brentwood, TN; sister, Mrs. Michael Hague of Charlotte, NC; and grandchildren: Tyler Ford, Julia Plourde, Garison Plourde, Ian Canupp, & Hayes Canupp. In addition to Dr. Canupp's parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Norris Canupp and brother, Dr. I. W. Canupp. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Anderson conducted by the Reverend Dr. James R. Thomason.
