OBITUARYMR. CHARLES E. CAREY SR.October 2, 1930 - November 4, 2006TOWNVILLE, SCFLAGMr. Charles Edward Carey Sr., age 76, husband of Annie Williams Carey, of 802 Dogwood Lane, Townille, SC, died on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Georgia, Mr. Carey was a son of the late Webb Oker Carey and the late Sally Maude Carey Carey. He was a self employed subcontractor currently working with Shalimar Homes. He was a member of Burdine Road Church of God and was a United States Army veteran during the Korean Conflict.He is survived by his wife, Annie Williams Carey of the home; sons, Charles E. Carey Jr. and his wife Charlene of Starr, Ned Carey and his wife Lynn of Anderson; daughters, Mildred C. Majeski and her husband Jimmy of Anderson and Tina C. McAdams of Townville; brothers Ted Carey of Iva and Webb Carey of Spartanburg; ten grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. A granddaughter, Stephanie C. Cobb, and great-grandchildren, Savannah, Tyce and Kendall Carey were all raised in the home.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Blantley, Ned, John, Herbert, Dirk and Murlin Carey and his sisters, Louise Roesch, Lucille Walo, Mildred Feldman and Frances McQuay.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel, Anderson, SC, officiated by the Reverends David Blizzard and Curtis Lanier. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 6, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of a daughter, Mildred Majeski, 512 Lewis St. Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional. Memorials may be sent to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E.
